Open Thread for Tuesday

Today in 1929, in Chicago, gunmen in the suspected employment of organized-crime boss Al Capone murder seven members of the George "Bugs" Moran North Siders gang in a garage on North Clark Street. The so-called St. Valentine's Day Massacre stirred a media storm centered on Capone and his illegal Prohibition-era activities and motivated federal authorities to redouble their efforts to find evidence incriminating enough to take him off the streets.

It's funny how the Feds manage to nab criminals- not always getting the crooks on the crime they should be sent to jail for, but rather for things like income tax evasion and perjury. (Remember- That depends upon what the definition of "is" is.) After the income tax trial and time in Alcatraz, Capone spent his remaining years living in Florida. He had syphilis and in his final days pneumonia, but he ending up dying from cardiac arrest.

Speaking of trials, how come there is no more news on the court cases as a result of the "Pay to play" investigations into the Hahn Administration?

Because AV won, and that was the only purpose in all the smoke and mirrors about Hahn's "corruption". . .

Ha, ha. You morons all bit!

That's it, Because AV and Laura "Can't Use Normal Thinking" Chick's just used it as a ploy.

If you really did some digging you would find Laura Chick should have been fired for letting this pass through in the first place and sending this DIRECTLY to the DA

City Council President Garcetti Endorses Arellano for School Board

Eric Garcetti, President of the LA City Council and Council Member for the 13th District, announced his support yesterday of Christopher Arellano for the LAUSD School Board seat to be filled in a special election on March 7th.

Arellano is impressive. Have students attend next forum. Afterwards ask the students who they support.

That is who I support

You are a great comic. So, who wins this race?

The Puppet of course.

Notice AV's jaw and Dick Riordan's hand up his back controlling what he says and Laura Chick doing what she does best controls the strings.

Puppet strings instead of Purse strings with those "lovely" audits she does.

Hey, I'm just saving up my hot air for the governor's race -- RUN, AV, RUN.

Huizar's cakewalk in CD14 left me 50 cents short of enough campaign blood-money for some new schmoozing supplies. (I was counting on Monica's early campaign communication screwups to force a runoff last fall, which would have meant even MORE money for me).

Go, Antonio, GO. PARQUE needs a NEW pair of Birkenstock hip-waders. Dick Cheney's promised he'll get me HOOKED on bass fishing.
